The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) has approved the translocation of 15 tigers from Madhya Pradesh to Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. This initiative, the largest of its kind from a single state, involves relocating tigers from Bandhavgarh, Pench, and Kanha Tiger Reserves. The distribution includes four tigresses to Rajasthan, two tigers and six tigresses to Chhattisgarh, and one male tiger and two tigresses to Odisha. Recipient states will bear the translocation expenses.
